This site is a tribute and a celebration of the life of Natalie (Nat) Sansom.
Should anyone wish to make a donation in celebration of her life then I know that Nat would choose for any donations to benefit both Branfil Primary school (the school that she was the Headteacher of) and also St Luke's Hospice, Basildon. The school community have received so many generous donations in Nat's memory already and so this site is to raise some funds for the brilliant work of St Luke's Hospice.
Nat was supported by St Luke's Hospice in so many ways. She was a fiercely independent individual and the support of the Outpatients service at St Luke's enabled Nat to continue working and living the life that she chose to right up until her death. Due to the care, compassion and flexibility of the outpatients' service Nat was still working and present within her school until 2 days' prior to her admission to the Hospice for end of life care.
The care that Nat (and the whole family) received for the week of Nat's inpatient stay was exemplary and I know that she would want part of her legacy to be helping the amazing work of the team at St Luke's to continue supporting patients and families in the way that we have been.
